Early end to pregnancy: a brief look at what may assist to set the scene for successful fullterm baby making.

Note from Heather
This is not medical advice - but lifestyle reminders.
Everything in this site and in my eBooks and printed material has been put together in faith with my decades of healing practice and theory poured into it.

Nature heals.
Nature has its own agenda.
We often feel we can force and control what is happening.
Your life choices and your belief systems create the reality you live in.
Here I am reporting what works, what is expected of the body and what will probably shift something that you are searching out help for.

Early pregnancy end - at whatever stage - including IVF implantation failure.
When a pregnancy ends prematurely, essentially something has upset normal.
Normal can usually be restored; but more than monitoring and hoping is required.
Prevention is easier than attempting a cure.

Often life happens the way it was not ever expected.
To insure against having unbidden complications in most enterprises, we do take precautionary measures.

The most obvious we take in our culture is to assume someone else knows more than we do.
Possibly you thought going to a GP who directed you to a surgeon (obstetrician) was the way forwards once pregnant  - and perhaps paying for  'health insurance' a year prior to planning pregnancy is your idea of enduring a safe and happy pregnancy/birthing outcome. .. .

An alternative way of looking at this scenario (so very different from your great grandparents - who knew that a woman's body was designed to carry and birth - so doctors were not part of the birthing scene - as even animals did it quite well left alone) is to let nature do its thing undisturbed.  Including survival of the fittest.

You can only make a baby once - and that is essentially prior to getting pregnant.  Without great quality sperm and a healthy mum-to-be (this is what farmers do . . .) it can be a drama later on.

Full term pregnancy is likely if the mother’s Jing is sufficient to nourish her and the growing child.

Pregnancy is easily maintained in a well body. I often see women who were not well when they conceived, and their previous state of unwellness is now impacting upon the pregnancy.  Or I see them post baby when hair is fallng, when they can't sleep, or breastmilk is not as great as it would be if they were happy/living quietly/being totally supported in being a new mum). All these are easily remedied - just not through the medical lens and by attending to diet and having a few calming restorative acupuncture sessions.

Consciously conceiving with the best body and state of health ever attained is the best pregnancy foundation.  If you have not done this, and are now struggling in pregnancy - having treatment very regularly, taking Chinese herbs and following sound natural eating advice and taking a range of insurance supplements will make a vast difference - to both the safety of the pregnancy and the quality of the baby emerging.  It is not too late.  Best insurance possible is not assembling an emergency team around you but making sure that you don't need it.

It may be that the baby's mother’s qi/essence /Blood energy is somehow not strong enough to continue through pregnancy.

If for no apparent reason, the process of labour has started, panicking will only hasten what you wish to avoid; rather than feeling guilty, knowing why actually gives you power to change, rather than passively hope things will improve.

Finding a competent pregnancy acupuncturist - not a medically trained person who has done a short course - is vitally important at this point.

Medically managing - and not actually knowing, let alone addressing what is happening, is not all you can do.

Some of this information may look strange to you.

Possibly this is because modern medicine tends to see ill health as somehow either 'genetic' or due to bad luck.

Hardly ever as a direct consequence of not looking after yourself well.

If you turn this around - and call it all 'your 'fault' - then you have the tools and the power to change it.

Also this information may seem strange as it is not presented anywhere else.

You may think - surely if this were the truth - it would be readily available?

Perhaps ask yourself 'Who gets paid if fee for service medicine is not needed?'

(As you are too well?).

It also may look strange as I am using a very different framework.

I am speaking of the energy that instructs the physical what to do.

We, in this time, are used to seeing the body as though the structure/mechanics is all that there is.

Modern medicine and science have conditioned us to believe that the physical is all that there is running the show.

Using a more traditional or natural model - we then reconnect with all that we know we are.

Emotions and soul force in addition to the energy of being.

Here - actually stopping and being honest with yourself is the key to success.

Not hoping that things wil be 'OK' - they are not for you to be reading this.

At the very least, attending agood acupucntruist will calm you down.

Bodies work best without the overwhelming sense of impending doom and panic that often medical interviews/meetings and service stops leave you with.  Please remember the 'Do no harm' rider on all things medical that USED to run the practice of medicine.

Nature makes perfect babies when left alone.

Working outsde the home, being in a rush and generally living a modern life is not conduicive to easy pregnancy.  Or birthing.

Seeing a surgeon/specialist whose agenda is not let nature do its job perfectly is not a recipe for success.

Expecting crisis and 'something going wrong' may have driven the medical interventions.

When something IS going wrong - what then?
Perhaps rethink what you consider intervention to be.

Helping nature and perfect to reassert itself may well mean you do something very different.

Find someone who can actually/actively help you.

Please make an appointment and come in to see me as after 30+ years of supporting normal pregnancy I am well equipped to assist - and often do - even when waters have ruptured far too early (who said they can't reseal?) and when there is an apparently imminent miscarriage/early baby meeting (who said it can't reverse?).  You need to do more than passively hope for the best.  Attending a medical specialist to take more blood tests and to even pop you in hospital is NOT addressing undoing what is happening - just monitoring is not good enough.

Talking to the soul of your baby - connecting as though s/he were already a whole person (she/he is) and getting out of the rush of doing and into the being of being pregnant will help tremendously.  Yes - 'stuff' may come up - far better now that you deal with unfinished inner business than pretending it is not here - as it will emerge when it is even less helpful a time.  Now is the best moment - whilst baby is safely tucked within.

Please find a counselor to walk you out of where you have been stuck til now.

Nutritionally - ensure a varied and wholesome diet.

Baby and breastmilk are made from fat and protein.

So are your hormones and your entire 'engine' within needs maintaining and in growing a stronger you to cope with what is ahead.

Plenty of veggies and minimal fruit - and no bought juices - as they are horrendously high in fructose which is NOT what you want. Especially if gestational diabetes has been mentioned.  Growing an enormous baby just because you like eating whatever it is that is your current passion is not so important as growing a perfect baby.

Not a dedicated pregnancy vitamin pill - but great food.

Supplement with a strong B complex.  Helps with all stressful situations and allows for strong nervous and emotional and physical wellbeing support.

Magnesium and Calcium are essential and may be immediately available in a powdered form that is mainly for muscle aches and pains.  Which is often, along with cramps, restless legs, inability to sleep and relax, exactly what has been happening to mum-to-be.

Drinking any 'diet' or 'soft' drink, or anything caffienated, or indulging in heaps of fruit, juices and everything sweet will only make an early labour more likely as the smooth muscles - intestines and uterus - will get inflammed and upset.

Taking a great fish oil suplement (not supermarket, or the cheapest possile) is also a great insurance against early baby arrival.

Whilst this is not the usual advice given - it works.
