of these and be a part of my birth

Unfortunately I had placenta previa with my first baby and had to have an emergency cesarean. Due to the current circumstance of most hospitals on the Gold Coast, it has been advised that I am required to have another Cesarean. I have come to accept this for this birth, but still wish for my amended birth plan to be followed.
This birth plan is a guide for an ideal birth given the current circumstances for my husband, baby and I.
It contains things that are important for our family unit.
We however understand that flexibility is necessary and we are open to other suggestions and paths that may need to be taken due to medical reasons and we would like to be consulted first as the need/time arises.
Should I be unable to make decisions, I request all details and decisions about my medical care be discussed with my husband with my sister present.
I have set out below in point form my request as I have a strong desire to be a part of my birth
I have heard many wonderful things about Pindara Hospital and the midwives I hope that you understand and encourage my birthing plan.
Elective Necessary Cesarean
I do not wish to have a screen placed in front of me
(please use one that lays flat across my stomach if required)
I would like to be placed on a slightly raised angle
(45o angle to view and assist)
I would like to have sterile hands/gloves
(to help prevent infection in case of contact with wound)
I would like to assist in the delivery of my baby
(Once the baby’s head/shoulders are visible and out I would like to be guided in placing my hands under the arms of my baby and assist in lifting the baby out of my stomach onto my chest (as per most natural child birthing situations)
If I am unable to assist in the delivery, I would like the baby to be placed on my chest immediately
I would like the baby to remain on my chest whist I am being stitched up.
(I am happy to have a private breast feeding consultant/nurse present if required)
I would like the cord and placenta to remain attached during this period
(known as lotus birthing please see the attached)
If the above in any way looks like it will not be allowed due to hospital procedures/protocol, I do not wish to have a date set for a cesarean, but to allow my baby to come into the world on a date chosen by him. I will attend the hospital once my waters break or I start contractions whichever one comes first.
Delayed Cord Clamping
Only once the cord has finished pulsating, I would like to have it clamped by my husband Marty
If there is any medical reason that I should need to be separated from my baby, I request that my husband (Marty) is to remain with the baby at all times
Placenta
I would like my placenta kept for me to take home please.
Injections/Vaccinations
I DO NOT want my baby to receive ANY routine Injections/Vaccinations without being consulted first
(this includes Vitamin K) We will commence immunization with our Doctor after the birth
Please make contact with me after the birth regarding Vitamin K, I will be requesting this as an oral dosage in my presence.
